Joe has stayed in the community where he's made an impact.

Joe's been passionate about electronics his entire life. Born in Amsterdam, NY, he once helped wire his father's house and fell in love with electricity. It was this that led him to study it at FMCC. He graduated Dean's List and spent the summer working in Johnstown, NY doing electrical CAD work and testing.

He went on to RIT, graduating with with high honors. He took a position at Electro-Metrics and worked there for 9 years, until a new job took him to Rome, NY. But when it came time to start a family, Joe and his wife moved back to the area. He found employment at GE's Global Research Center, where he has been for 9 years. "I love the work," he says of his position as Senior Engineer. He's involved in his son's Cub Scouts and mentors junior engineers at GE. This is where his family is rooted and where he wants to stay.
