Greg imagines a future at home, building his dream. That's creative!

Greg took advantage of many different educational resources as he put together a career path combining his interest in the arts, computer design and business. While attending Mohawk Valley Community College, he took art classes at Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in Utica. After that, he spent a year at FMCC to get specialized skills in computer-based media. From there he went on to SUNY New Paltz and studied painting, drawing and woodworking. After spending a year working at Mohawk Furniture as a furniture designer, Greg then spent a year in FMCC's Collaborative Career Learning office (COCAL), which provides internships, co-ops and work-based learning for college credit. That experience led to a job at Pioneer Windows in Johnstown as an AutoCad draftsman. Greg says at one time he thought he might live in Long Island. "But it just wasn't for me," he says. "It's so hectic. The cost of living was kind of laughable. It's so much easier to live the American dream here."
